A positive outcome for the 2025 edition of the Montreal auto show

Excerpt from the January 26, 2025, press release of the 2025 Montreal Auto Show

According to the press release, the Montreal Auto Show, presented by iA Financial Group, concluded its 80th edition at the Palais des congrès de Montréal on Sunday, January 26, with a positive outcome. Between January 17 and 26, more than 472 vehicles, including 145 electric vehicles (EVs), hybrids, and plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), were exhibited at the Auto Show. The return of over 30 major brands, a record participation in test drives, and the enthusiasm for Luc Poirier's Ferrari collection were key highlights of the event.

An impressive total of nearly 163,000 unique visitors passed through the turnstiles at this year's Auto Show, a satisfying number considering recent events, including the bitter cold that swept through the Montreal area and the U.S. presidential inauguration that captured public attention.

"[Traduction] The Montreal Auto Show follows global trends in our industry. The absence of some brands in recent years has had an impact on the event, but we are seeing the return of major players who are rediscovering the importance of auto shows and human interaction," explains Denis Dessureault, Executive Vice President of the Montreal Auto Show. "[Traduction] True to our new slogan—'We only exist when we move forward'—we have implemented new strategies to meet public expectations. These initiatives include showcasing even more vehicles, focusing on cutting-edge technologies, and adapting to current trends. The future is therefore very promising," he adds.
