At the Canadian International AutoShow in Toronto, the Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) announced the winners of the Car and Utility Vehicle of the Year awards.

Unsurprisingly, the Honda Civic was named Car of the Year. Looking back to 2022, this model had already earned the same honor.

On the utility vehicle side, AJAC members selected the Hyundai Santa Fe as Canadian Utility Vehicle of the Year, highlighting its interior ergonomics, infotainment system, and overall refinement.

For the Electric Car of the Year title, the BMW i4 stood out thanks to the smoothness and efficiency of its powertrain, as well as its high-quality finish.

Finally, the Electric Sport Utility of the Year award went to the Hyundai Ioniq 5. Already a previous winner of this distinction, this time, it was recognized for its high-performance N version, boasting 641 horsepower. Notably, Hyundai secured a second title in 2025 with this victory.
